And 31 hours later...

I don't have a lot of exciting things to say but I wanted to let everyone know that we all made it safely and we are all doing well. We got on the bus in Morgantown at 5 am and drove to the Pittsburgh Airport where our plane didn't leave until after 11 am (it was delayed by an hour) but it gave us enough time to get excited about the trip. We then had a 12 hour flight from Detroit to Narito, Japan. I think that is where most of us slept in an attempt to put our sleep on the right schedule. If you couldn't sleep the 3 meals and 3 movies kept you entertained.
We only spent 2 hours in Japan, but it gave us enough time to experience their culture (aka...visiting the convenience store). Then we finally flew into Shaghai where we met Dr. Chow and Dr. Riley. It's funny because they have learned from the past that their buses won't hold all of our luggage so they brought an extra van and crammed basically everything they could in there.
Since out arrival, many of us headed off to bed, but others actually are out experiencing the Chinese night life. We quickly found the nearest place to buy Coke-a-Cola and snacks and have found where breakfast is going to be served (what more do you need).
This is in Japan and just after the "24-hour traveling mark." As you can see by this point we were pretty tired, but we found a pretty good place to relax.
Finally...we arrived. This is us outside of the airport in Shanghai. All of our luggage was here and we all made it through customs...not too bad.

Glad to hear everyone made it safe and sound! With a 12 hour time difference, your body will have a tough time, but the faster you just force yourself to operate based on your new time zone, the better. Can't wait to see more on the site!
